Slide Show Settings-Dialog

Check the tab control in the settings dialog
Check the shortcuts in the settings dialog
Check if the settings are still assigned after quitting the dialog.

Check if all slides would be shown when the option 'All slides' is selected.
Select the option 'From:' and enter a slide from which the slide show should start.
Check if the slide show starts from the entered slide.
Note: Via Tools/Options/Presentations/General you can set the option "Start Presentation always with current page".
This option makes it possible to start with the slide, which is selected.
The range area in the 'Slide Show Settings' must be disabled when 'Start Presentation always with current page' is selected.
Check if the Type 'Default' (full-Screen), 'Window' (presentation runs in a window) and 'Auto' (endless full-screen presentation) works.
Check if the option 'Change slides manually' works. The Autotransition of the slides must be automatic to test this option.
Check manually slide change by spacebar, arrow-keys, pageUp/pageDown-keys and Pos1-/Ende-keys (first/last page).
Check if the mouse pointer is visible when the option 'Mouse pointer visible' is selected.
Check if you can draw with the mouse pointer when the option 'Mouse pointer as pen' is selected.
Check if the navigator is visible when the option 'Navigator visible' is selected.
Check if the slide doesn't change by clicking on the background when the option 'Change slides by clicking on background' is deselected.
Check if nothing is visible except the fullscreen presentation-window if the option 'Presentation allways on top' is selected.

At the end of the presentation (fullscreen or window mode) the pause slide with the text 'Click to exit presentation...' appears. Exit works by mouseclick or key-input.
Is the endless (auto) presentation selected, two further options get visible:
Timeout: shows the remaining time until this slide show begins again. Default is 00:00:10.
Show logo: a little logo at bottom right gets visible. It must be the same logo as in the about box.
Switching the timeout to 00:00:00 disables the pause slide.
Via ESC-key a running slide show can be stopped.
During a running slide show pay attention to the right order of slides, jumps to slides (via Navigator, Interaction), and custom slide show.
Check the compatibility with older StarOffice-versions.

Custom Slide Show-Dialog

Create a document with a few slides which contains some objects (drawing objects, page numbers, ...)
Open the 'Custom Slide Show' dialog via menu Slide Show/Custom Slide Show.
Click on New.
Check if all Slides of the presentation are listed in 'Existing Slides'.
Change the name of the custom slide show.
Select some Slides.
Can you select several slides in once?
Assign the slides to the custom slide show.
Check if the assigned slides are listed in 'Selected Slides'.
Can you select and assign the same slide several times?
Click OK.
Is the name of the custom slide show correct?
Can you change back into the edit mode of the custom slide show when you click on 'Edit'?
Are the choosen slides still listed in 'Selected Slides' and is the order correct?
Click on cancle.
Click on Copy.
Did you get a copy of the custom slide show?
Click on Edit.
Is the copy of the slide show identical to the original custom slide show?
Click on Delete.
Was the slide show deleted?
Start the presentation.
Did you see the original slide show?
open the custom slide show dialog again.
Select 'Use Custom Slide Show'.
Start the slide show.
Is the order of the slides corresponding to the order in 'Selcted Slides'?
Save the slide Show and make a reload.
Did you see the custom slide show in the custom slide show dialog?
Is 'Use Custom Slide Show' still selected?
Start the slide show.
Is the order of the Slides OK?

Slide Transition-Dialog

Open the Slide Transition dialog with 'Slide Show -> Slide Transition'.
Check the tab control
Check the short cuts
Assign a transition effect, a transition speed, the transition manual, and a Transition sound.
Confirm the dialog with OK.
Check if all settings are correct.
Change the Transition to 'Auto' end enter a time.
Confirm the dialog with OK.
Check if the Slide transitions are correct.
Change the transition to semiautomatic and check, if effects assigned to objects, start automatic. The transition of the slide should work manually.

Slide effects

Create a new document.
Choose an autolayout with Title and Text.
Enter a Title and some outline text.
Create a rectangle.
Assign the effect Cross Fade From Left to the title and the text.
Open the slide transition dialog and assign the effect 'Cross Fade From Left'.
Start the slide show and check if all effects runs correct.
There are 5 ways to start the presentation:
the icons at the left and the right side of the screen
with the 'Slide Show' entry in the 'Slide Show' menu
and with the shortcuts 'CTRL + F2' and 'f9'

Check if all kind of objects (graphics, draw objects, OLE, etc.) appear as in the edit mode.
Save/load that Presentations as xml- and binary-file. All settings must be kept.

Shortcuts during the slideshow

Test if the shortcuts works during a running presentation:
'Page Up' , 'p' for previous page
'Page Down' , 'n' for next page
'b' toggles screen to black
'w' toggles screen to white
'Backspace' , '-' to end presentation

hide mouse cursor

start an Presentation
wait approx. 10 sec.
the mouse cursor have to disappear
move the mouse for 1 - 2 sec.
the mouse cursor have to appear again.
check if the mouse cursor also disappears when a custom animationis running.
open the slide show settings and select 'Mouse pointer visible'
start the presentation
the mouse pointer have to be visible the whole time.

Presentation context menu

create a document with more then 2 slides
rename some of the slides
change to slide 2
start the presentation
click with the right mouse button to open the context menu
check if you can close the contextmenu with ESC or with a mouse click beside the context menu
open the contextmenu again
check if the context menu contains the following entries
Next
click on next slide and check if the presentation go to the next slide
Previous
click on previous slide and check if the presentation go to the previous slide
Go to Slide
Go to Slide must contain First Slide, Last Slide and a list of the existing Slidenames
Check if the slidenames are correct.
check if the current slide in the list has a marker
click on another slide and check if the presentation change to the correct slide
check if First Slide and Last Slide works correct
check if the context menu doesn't contains First Slide and Previous Slide when you are on the first slide and also doesn't contains Last Slide and Next Slide when you are on the last slide
Screen
Screen must contain Black and White
Click on Black or white and check if the screen become black or white
To leave the pause mode press any key, click with the left mousebutton or open the contextmenu and click on the corresponding Screen entry
while leaving the pause mode the slide must not change to another slide
End Show
Test if End Show stops the slide show
check if the document is on the same slide like the presentation before clicking on End Show

And last: close the office and check starting the Impress via command line parameter.
Change into the program-directory within the Office-path, and type as follows (the slot-ID is part of common.xml):
i.e. D:\Office-path\program> soffice.exe private:factory/simpress?slot=10425
