Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 60399
ux-ctest: Delete Columns/Rows in the context menu is missing if the cursor is not positioned on Column/Row Header
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:15:35 UTC
There is no explicit entry “Spalten/Zeilen löschen†(Delete Columns/Rows) in the context menu if the cursor is not positioned on Column/Row Headers, even if a complete column/row is selected. Recommendation: Add option in context menu, if a complete column/row is selected.
Corrected owner.
My mistake, corrected the wrong one.
Keyword: ux-ctest
I'll take this over.
OOo already has context menu command to insert/delte entire rows/columns. Obviously they are not obvious enough. I suppose a terminology change will ease this issue. See spec for details.
Spec is ready to be implemented for OOo 2.1
ux-ctest tasks are reported by User Experience
spec status change to "standard"
new target OOo 2.2
waiting for Frank's QA task to be confirmed and fixed i69948
all subtasks are closed. closing this one as well.
.
This is show as "Fixed" although it seems to me that the issue still exists in 2.4.1. It's not a big problem because "Delete..." behaves like "Delete Columns/Rows" when the cursor is not positioned on Column/Row Headers.
The issue still exists in OO 3.0. Why is it closed and fixed then? Please comment.
In OOo 3.0, if the cursor is not on the column header, there is only an "insert ..." menu item. But choosing it actually inserts a full column. So it seems just a polish issue, it needs to be changed to "Insert column" as it is when the cursor is on the header.
