Concept: Change wording from "Seitennummer" to “Seitenzahl†(Page Number)  and
from "Seitenanzahl" to “Anzahl der Seiten†(Page Count).

"Seitennummer" should stay "Seitennummer", because "Seitenzahl" is sometimes
used in the same meaning as "Anzahl der Seiten" and would bei confusing again.
"Seitennummer" is not ambiguous.
Instead of "Anzahl der Seiten" also "Gesamtzahl der Seiten" is possible.

ok, your proposed terms look better. "Seitennummer" and "Gesamtzahl der Seiten"
are the finalists.

Please change the menu item
Format-Insert-Fields-Page Count from "Seitenan~zahl" to "~Gesamtzahl der Seiten"
according to Spec (row 314)
