Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 75487
"Print page view button" greyed out after printing
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:15:31 UTC
Steps to reproduce (at least one confimration from cloph in IRC) * enter page preview mode (in writer, might occur in other apps, too) * remark that the "print page view button" is active * print a page * remark that the "print page view button" has become inactive and greyed out
Created attachment 43776 [details] screenshot of the button greyed out (marked with red circle)
cloph informed he was usingversion 2.2 RC3
and setting to "NEW"
This wrong behaviour also happened to me in OO 2.1 under Windows XP
SBA->HI: Please proceed. Note that I could not reproduce in SRC680.m219 Reassigned to Hasan
Couldn't also reproduce. Please give some details about your OS-System and which theme or desktop you use.
Sorry, it looks my instructions for reproducing this were not so clear (it took me a while to reproduce it myself ;-) ) It still occurs for me in 2.0.4 on ubuntu edgy, Gnome desktop. Updated instructions * enter page preview mode (in writer, might occur in other apps, too) * remark that the "print page view button" is active * print a page *with the "print page view button"* * remark that the "print page view button" has become inactive and greyed out closing and reentering page preview mode reactivates it. but to be honest I have a bit of trouble pinpointing with 100% accuracy what will always trigger and what will always work. All I can say is that I had some trouble to reproduce this initially but then it "worked to break it" ;-). Maybe you should try with a document with more than one page? This still needs further triage.
HI->OD: Reproduced with our sample document "book.odg"
reproduced in OOo 2.3 - open sample document: File - New - Templates and Documents - Samples - Text Documents - "My House" - switch to print preview - print via button in toolbar --> after printing the button in the toolbar is inactive.
due to limited resources I have to re-target this issue to OOo 3.0
Due to limited resources re-target to OOo 3.x
