Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 81549
Saving odp file as ppt lost background image
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:20:06 UTC
Previously I tried to save an odp file edited with Impress to a ppt file. After the ppt file was generated, I found the resulting ppt file looked different from my original odp file. The background image of that odp file was not correctly preserved in the generated ppt. I didn't touch any settings and just use default settings of OpenOffice.org. Unfortunately, the generated ppt file lost the original background image in odp file. Both OpenOffice.org 2.2.1 for Linux and Windows have this problem.

I see the problem in your CS_Journal_reading.ppt, but I can't reproduce the problem exporting CS_Journal_reading.odp with "2.2.1 Multilingual German version WIN XP: [680m18(Build9161)]"
Also not reproducible with "2.3.0 Dev. Snapshot WIN XP: [680m222(Build9183)]" @pcman_tw: Did you do your WIN and LINUX tests on the same PC?

Sorry that I attached the wrong file previoiusly. Here are the real files with problems. Please take a look at background_test.odp, background_test.ppt, and background_test.pdf.
Reproducible with 2.3.0. Some of the blue stripes from the background do not get exported.
set target from 2.x to 3.x according to http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Target_3x
Confirming with 2.4m4 on WinXP.
